🧩 Logic and Pattern Test

20 questions of shape matrices, number sequences and verbal analogies. Questions are generated fresh every time.

How it works

  • 20 questions: 8 shape matrices, 7 number sequences, 5 verbal items
  • 12 minutes; unanswered questions count as wrong when time runs out
  • Answering moves you on; you cannot go back
  • You get three sub-scores and a comparison with other test takers

Is this an IQ test?

Not in the clinical sense. Real IQ tests (such as WAIS or Raven's Standard Progressive Matrices) are administered by professionals under standard conditions and scored against a large norm group. This test uses the same kinds of questions but reports your accuracy and an approximate ranking against other test takers instead of an IQ number, so you see where you are strong rather than a misleading figure.

What does it measure?

Pattern recognition: finding the rule across rows and columns of a matrix (abstract reasoning). Numerical reasoning: spotting the rule in a number sequence. Verbal reasoning: seeing the relationship between concepts. Together they indicate general problem-solving ability.

How can I score higher?

In matrices, scan the rows first, then the columns, and look for a single attribute that changes: count, shape, fill or rotation. For sequences, write down the differences between terms; the differences may form a sequence of their own.
